About Me

I live in the southern tip of Nevada with 3 toy dogs and 2 lively cats.

My lifelong yo-yo-ing weight pattern reflected conflicts between enjoyment of healthy meats, fruits and vegetables and addiction to junk foods. When I reached a certain level of obesity, losing weight became my overriding desire; as I approached my desired weight, the pleasure/comfort/tastes of junk food would seize control.

After a year of ancestral eating my physical status was outstanding for an old lady, but my eating disorder was still there. A few relapses back onto processed foods appear to have been the best aversion therapy I could have tried; for some time now I have not had cravings or symptoms of withdrawal from processed foods despite the emotional roller coaster of having my winter friends head back up north.

Let's hope that continues!
